Why your event kit needs a Santa Claus Bell

In today’s episode of Event Ninja News I explain why your event kit needs a Santa Claus Bell. Watch this week’s episode for my full description or keep reading for a quick overview.   Sometimes you just need your guests to move! Whether it be from that first morning coffee and catch up with colleagues at the start of the day, from one room to another or away from those delicious afternoon treats and back into the conference. Whatever the reason, it can be super hard to move groups of people distracted by chat, coffee and sugar to where they need to be on time. And of course no one ever wants to be the first one to move! My tip is to get yourself a Santa Claus Bell. Find one at your local $2 or Reject shop and add it to your kit for when you need to get your guests attention. It’s a simple and effective (and more polite than shouting!) way to ensure your event runs on time. Do you have any tips or stories you’d like to share about how you get your guests to move? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave me a comment below and I’ll be sure to reply. Keep running events, connecting people and changing lives. x Kim   Subscribe to our weekly Event Ninja News here Each week we will send you a short video with a quick tip to help you become an Event Ninja!   Below are some previous episodes you may like to check out: Should I price my event tickets to cover the cost of putting on my event? 1. I also use a bell, I buy one when I go to different countries, so am getting quite a collection. Also, my regulars are so used to the bell that they just need to see me with it and they start heading for the room 🙂

  2. I have found that a Pen (always one handy) and a glass (again nearly always one handy… Works well.
It is the universal sign for “Hey STFU… something is about to happen” and the Pitch cuts through and over most conversations. Whereas a Bell can be simply annoying, create tension and it treats guests like they back at school.
